OUR PUMPKIN PATCH IS CLOSED FOR 2024. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT YEAR!
Slagle’s Family Farm located at N7705 Metropolitan Rd, Felch, MI 49831 will be opening our Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, Oct. 5th. You will drive out to the field to pick your pumpkins and you will pay for them up at the barn. Our hours are Saturday AND Sunday from 10-4 Central Time and Wednesday 3-6 Central Time. All Pumpkins in the field are $7, so find yourself the biggest one! Pie Pumpkin size are 2/$7. Mini Pumpkins and Gourds are $1 each. We have carrots available in the barn for $1 a bag to feed the cows and Jackson the Donkey. Also, if you find any bad pumpkins feel free to feed it to them. We will also have Pick Your Own Cornstalks $.50 each. You will want to make sure you bring cutters or a knife this year to cut your pumpkins and cornstalks. We will not be offering any discounted price for any other produce this year when picked from the field because we have significantly downsized our production and utilizing this produce for orders and the storefront. We don’t sell any deer pumpkins while the pumpkin patch is open. IF there is a large quantity left, then we will have them for sale on Sat. Nov 2nd for $1 apiece you pick from the field, but check before coming if it is being offered. If we do, it will be posted on Facebook. We also have free activities and picture opportunities available in the greenhouse. We will have homemade French Fries, sweet potato fries (sweet or savory), cheese curds with our homemade ranch, homemade pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting, and drinks available for purchase. Our storefront will be open to purchase soap, meat, produce, jam, etc. We accept cash, check, card (3.5%fee), Venmo, Food is Medicine for produce, UP Food Access coupons for meat, Senior Project Fresh for Produce, and E*B*T. Yes pumpkins are edible since you can use them for soups, seeds, desserts, etc. There is a bathroom and hand wash station up at the barn. We hope to see you. If you have a child that would benefit coming at a quiet time, please contact me to make arrangements.
Also, we apologize, but no dogs are allowed in the field as we are still harvesting or in the barn as we are considered a food establishment. Thank you for understanding.
Please bring your own cutters or pocket knife to harvest your pumpkins.
